How it works

Zinc is a cofactor for over 300 enzymes and is directly required for testosterone biosynthesis via Leydig cell function. Deficiency — extremely common in males, particularly those who exercise — demonstrably reduces testosterone. The bisglycinate chelate form has 3× better absorption than zinc oxide.

What to look for

Zinc bisglycinate or zinc picolinate — not zinc oxide or zinc sulfate. Check elemental zinc content, not total chelate weight. Combine with copper supplementation (2mg copper per 30mg zinc) for long-term use to prevent copper depletion.
